Dean Francis Alfar is a five-time Palanca awardee, a contributor to the National Book Award-winning comic book anthology Isaw, Atbp., and was a fellow at the Silliman and U.P. creative writing workshops. His first internationally-published short story was chosen for inclusion in The Year’s Best Fantasy and Horror. He is a playwright, a fictionist, and a scriptwriter, but adamantly denies being a poet, despite having written some really quite decent verse.

Hi Dean,
I was in the summit with my 2 daughters a 2 1/2 yrs old daughter, the youngest attendee i guess and an incoming freshman in UP. And i’d like to commend your rather animated and vibrant way of sharing your thoughts on blogging. I was encouraged to put up a blog site for my daughter as she always wants to be on my lap when i do my postings on my blog at home. She learned her alphabet in my keyboard and can type on her own as long as you tell her what letters to hit. My blog is not worth plugging as it’s a very personal blog. I had it because I needed a venue where my husband and I can update each other’s day. More power to you and you’re really cool….
ayan friends na tayo ha….
