The Scobleizer says having no rss feed is a genetic marker for a lame site. At the very least, an orange RSS button *promises* future updates. So here are our promises for future updates:

Call for Sponsorship 8

Posted on May 04, 2005 by Administrator

Less than a week to go before iBlog. We’ve built the forum, created the buzz, and you guys have responded (220+ registrants and counting). We’re nailing down the specifics now. Things like sound systems and projectors and meals and internet connectivity from the venue (we’re afraid some people might not be able to breathe without a working ethernet port :).

We’re going to keep working on this because we really feel this is important. We’re grateful to our sponsors for giving us the wherewithal to push forward with the event, and bloggers who’ve given everything from wordpress technical support to better maps to the venue.

It’s not too late to support iBlog, and any help would be greatly appreciated. Sponsorship slots are still open (ranging from 5k to 20k). If you’re interested, or know someone who’s interested in sponsoring iBlog, email us at sponsors[at-sign]iblogph.org or text at 09198205982.

iBlog(roll) 7

Posted on May 03, 2005 by Administrator

We like looking at the registrants page every now and then to check on how many we should expect to attend. We rejoice at how all this has built momentum with so little “traditional” promotion. At the same time, we fret that mayhap this will grow beyond our logistics. Goes to show that you can’t underestimate the power of networks.

Me, I go to the list of registrants to check on the blogs. It’s nice to see some of my old favorites (Rain, Prem, La Vida Lawyer, Manuel Quezon III) listed in the iblog blogroll.

Even better, I go through the listing to check out new blogs. Here are some of the blogs I “discovered” and would soon be on my personal blogroll:

The UP Parser Blog
The J Spot
Smart Alec
Technobiography
The Geekette Speaketh
Linux User Wakizaki

As I fancy myself a web nerd, I’m partial to blogs with lots of tech and geekery. But don’t let my limited taste stop you. Hop through the blogroll and see if there’s a cool pinoy blog out there for you. Add them to your blogroll, drop them a comment, or better yet, meet them at the summit :)
