Good day!

I am Ian Irving Bacungan, a blogger from Daddy's Day Out. I am also connected with the Armed Forces of the Philippines as one of their consultant in digital media operations.

Social Media and Blogging has played a major part in winning the war against the ISIS and Maute Group during the Marawi crisis last 2016.

In connection to this, I would like to propose a topic that would discuss the vital role of Blogging and Social Media in promoting peace and countering violent extremism in order for us to prevent another was just like what happened in Marawi.

The terrorist groups has been using social media and blogging to promote their ideologies and they are sprinting on the platform that they choose while the government is being left behind. The government can't do this alone. Fighting terrorism is a whole of nation approach and as bloggers and influencers, we can help the government in the battle against terrorism.

Bloggers and influencers are effective advocates of peace and I believe that they are the best persons to reach out to the Filipinos.

I would like to promote a topic on How to use blogging and social media in peacebuilding and the battle against violence and terrorism.

You may contact me at 09177308355 so that I can better discuss with you regarding this topic.

Thank you very much!
